Condition Details / Information Notes
This 'Notice of Consent' shall be extant for a period of 2 years from the date of this Notice. Should the works approved under this consent not be undertaken within this period, then a further Tree Preservation Order application would be required. Reason: To conform with the requirements of The Town and Country Planning (Tree Preservation) (England) Regulations 2012.
Within 12 months of the removal of the tree hereby approved, 6 replacement trees of a species, size and at a location, to be approved in writing with the Council's Tree & Landscape Officer shall be planted. If within a period of five years from the date of planting, the tree (or any other tree planted in replacement for it) is removed, uprooted, or destroyed or dies, another tree of the same size and species shall be planted at the same place, unless otherwise agreed in writing with the Local Planning Authority. Reason:- To maintain the visual and environmental quality of the site and surrounding area in accordance with policy SWDP25 of the South Worcestershire Development Plan and aims and objectives of the National Planning Policy Framework.
Consent is hereby granted for the works to the tree(s) subject to the limitations specified in the schedule attached hereto. All works shall be carried out in accordance with the schedule and in compliance with British Standard BS 3998:2010 "Recommendations for Tree Work". Reason:- To maintain the visual and environmental quality of the site and surrounding area in accordance with policy SWDP25 of the South Worcestershire Development Plan and aims and objectives of the National Planning Policy Framework.
Notwithstanding any details on the submitted application forms and plans the consent hereby granted is for the following works:- Schedule:- Conifer Screen (Item 1) - Lightly trim side, to improve shape and form. Line of Sycamores (Item 2) - Re-coppice to approx. 6ft above ground level, to maintain as a hedge line. Group of Ash & Plum suckers (Item 4) – Fell to ground level. 6 x Ash stems (Item 6) - Fell to ground level and replace Reason:- To ensure the work is carried out in such a manner as to maintain the quality of the environment in accordance with policy SWDP25 of the South Worcestershire Development Plan and aims and objectives of the National Planning Policy Framework.
The proposed removal of the mature Sycamore (Item 3) is refused because it would result in significant harm to the visual amenity and character of the local landscape. The identified structural risk associated with the bark-included junction can be adequately addressed through a crown reduction, allowing for the safe retention of the tree and continued contribution to local amenity.
The removal of the Ash trees identified in Item 5 is refused due to insufficient evidence demonstrating significant Ash Dieback, structural weakness, or imminent risk of failure. Their current condition does not justify their removal, and their loss would further diminish local tree cover.
