Condition Details / Information Notes
This 'Notice of Consent' shall be extant for a period of 2 years from the date of this Notice. Should the works approved under this consent not be undertaken within this period, then a further Tree Preservation Order application would be required. Reason: To conform with the requirements of The Town and Country Planning (Tree Preservation) (England) Regulations 2012.
No later than 7 days before works are to be carried out on the tree, written notice shall be given to the Local Planning Authority of the date when works shall commence. No works shall commence until the applicant's nominated contractor has discussed the works on site with a representative of the Local Planning Authority. Reason: To ensure the work is carried out in such a manner as to maintain the quality of the environment in accordance with policy SWDP25 of the South Worcestershire Development Plan and aims and objectives of the National Planning Policy Framework.
Consent is hereby granted for the works to the tree(s) subject to the limitations specified in the schedule attached hereto. All works shall be carried out in accordance with the schedule and in compliance with British Standard BS 3998:2010 "Recommendations for Tree Work". Reason:- To maintain the visual and environmental quality of the site and surrounding area in accordance with policy SWDP25 of the South Worcestershire Development Plan and aims and objectives of the National Planning Policy Framework.
Notwithstanding any details on the submitted application forms, plans, and photographs the consent hereby granted is for the following works:- Schedule:- T3 Sycamore - Lift Canopy to 4m. T4 – Cedar: Lift the canopy to 4 metres and reduce the lateral spread of the crown by up to 1 metre. No reduction in height is permitted. T5 Beech - Lift canopy to 4m. T6 Beech - Lift canopy to 4m and reduce south side canopy by 1-2m over the neighbour's property. Reason:- To ensure the work is carried out in such a manner as to maintain the quality of the environment in accordance with policy SWDP25 of the South Worcestershire Development Plan and aims and objectives of the National Planning Policy Framework.
The Sycamore (T1) displays a bifurcated stem with an included union; however, there is no evidence of active decay, structural failure, or significant defect. The crown is full and healthy, and the tree remains a prominent feature within the group. Lesser works, such as crown reduction and bracing, would adequately address any concerns. Felling is not considered justified.
The Ash (T2) is in reasonable condition and shows no signs of Ash Dieback (Hymenoscyphus fraxineus). Its form and location contribute to the wider tree group and streetscene. Selective reduction to manage canopy spread over the road and services would be more proportionate. Removal is not supported in the absence of clear physiological or structural decline.
The removal of both trees would undermine the group's integrity and result in a noticeable reduction in its overall amenity value and that of the surrounding area.
