| The applicant’s attention is drawn to Schedule 2 Part 1 Class B.2 of the General Permitted Development Order 2015 which stipulates that the facing materials should be of a similar appearance to those used in the exterior of the existing dwellinghouse. |
| Bats and their roosts are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (as amended) and the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017 (as amended). It is an offence to deliberately capture, injure, kill or disturb bats or to damage, destroy or obstruct access to a bat roost whether bats are present or not. If during the course of works bats or evidence of bats are found, all work must cease immediately and advice should be sought from a suitably qualified ecologist. The applicant is advised that, where a at roost is confirmed and works are likely to affect it, a Natural England license may be required prior to any works commencing. Contractors should be made aware of these legal obligations through an on-site ecology toolbox talk for bats before works commence. |
